Strategic Communications Directorate
Mission:
To strategically inform and disseminate to multiple audiences and stakeholders; providing relevant and timely information, tools, and resources for warriors, families, leaders, clinicians and the community that empowers them, supports them, and strengthens their resilience, recovery, and reintegration.

Overview:
The directorate is responsible for drafting and/or editing products and materials (printed, electronic and video) that are produced for presentation or distribution outside of DCoE, and creating and implementing communications and dissemination plans to support the distribution and release of products as appropriate. Stratcom serves as the liaison to DoD Office of Security Review to gain approval for public release of materials. The directorate coordinates all media relations activity for DCoE in accordance with guidelines from MHS and DoD. In addition, Stratcom conducts outreach activities to share information, tools and resources with other federal partners, veteran and military service organizations, DoD agencies and the academic community in order to raise awareness and increase utilization of programs and services to benefit warriors, veterans and families experiencing psychological health concerns and traumatic brain injury. The directorate also manages the DCoE Resource Library, website, social media channels and the Speakers Bureau.
