Communications Directorate

Mission:

The Communications Directorate informs external audiences about the work of DCoE and about issues dealing with psychological health and traumatic brain injury.

Overview:

The directorate responds to queries from the news media and reaches out to the media to disseminate information. The directorate sets up media interviews with DCoE leaders and subject matter experts, and produces news releases and other material for the media. In addition, the directorate produces a monthly newsletter and operates the DCoE Web site and the Real Warriors Campaign Web site to provide information directly to external audiences. The directorate also links DCoE to other communications offices in the Department of Defense and the Department of Veterans Affairs to coordinate activities.

Goals and Objectives:

To provide accurate, timely and useful information that will benefit warriors, their families, veterans, health professionals and the American people.
