Mild TBI Web-based Case Studies
The Mild TBI Web-Based Case Studies are a series of 12 modules utilizing actual patient vignettes to assist health care professionals to understand mild traumatic brain injury (TBI) to include screening, diagnosis and management of symptoms in the non-deployed setting. One free CEU/CME is offered per course.
National Center for PTSD Online Training Opportunities
Providers and Researchers can access online training courses through The National Center for PTSD. There are at least 26 courses on PTSD, most of which offer free CEU/CME, and many other clinician resources for PTSD.
PTSD and TBI Training Events
An online training calendar contains training information for a variety of evidence-based psychological health and traumatic brain injury training events across the Department of Defense. Use the calendar to locate specific training events, contact the POC and register for training. Many events offer CEU/CME.
Training to Administer DoD Deployment Mental Health Assessment
(Developed by the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Force Health Protection & Readiness, the Deployment Health Clinical Center and Walter Reed Army Medical Center) This is the newly released training that certifies non-mental health providers to conduct deployment mental health assessments in order to recognize the significant symptoms of PTSD, depression, substance misuse and other emotional or social problems. Upon completion of the training, 1.5 AMA category 1 credits are available for providers.

A compilation of links to the most current versions of clinical toolkits and instructor training tools. Also provides helpful clinician tools such as overarching guidance for the use of clinical practice guidelines, the Health Affairs memorandum on guidance for training providers to treat PTSD and acute stress disorder, and the inTransition web based training for providers.
Leadership Training Resources
These resources provide special information and tools for military leaders on topics such as depression, PTSD and traumatic brain injury. Guidance and support for such topics at the unit level are available in the Executive Level Overview of Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury.
